Libraries Rock! Keep track of your reading and complete fun challenges to earn points, rewards and prestige. Visit the Kids’ Desk for youth and the Information Desk for adults or visit nccdelib.org/bear. Registration required. All ages. Library hours (Summer Reading Challenge desks close 30 minutes prior to library closing). June 1-August 11.

End of Summer Ice Cream Party.  Saturday, August 11, 2018 (3:00 – 4:00 P.M.)
Enjoy a free soft ice cream cone to celebrate your Summer Reading Challenge accomplishments. Get tickets at Kids’ Desk 15 minutes before program. Ages 0-17. 3-4 p.m.

Reexamining the Tulsa Massacre, 1921. Monday, June 25, 2018 (6:30 P.M.)
Experience the story of Greenwood, an African-American community in Tulsa, OK also known as the “Black Wall Street”, through retelling, a documentary film and discussion. Refreshments by Friends of the Bear Library. Registration requested. Ages 16-Adults. 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Let Freedom Ring Concert! Saturday, June 30, 2018 (2:00 P.M.)
First State Ringers from Newark United Methodist Church perform a rousing


musical concert featuring popular and patriotic favorites. Refreshments by Friends of the Bear Library. All ages, Children under 12 with a Caregiver. 2-3 p.m.
