About the FOBL

The mission of the Friends of the Bear Library (FOBL) is to support, enhance and enrich the Bear Library. We are committed to supporting the library in its effort to meet the needs of our community. The Friends of the Bear Library Association was incorporated in 1991 as a non-profit Delaware corporation. In the same year, the FOBL obtained IRS 501(c)3 status so that it could accept tax-deductible donations.

The FOBL is a nonprofit organization governed by a Board of Directors comprised of dedicated local volunteers elected by the general membership. The Board of Directors Meetings are held every third Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November at 7 p.m. at the Bear Library.
